Need an easy craft project that only takes about ten minutes to put together? Enter beaded necklaces made from cutesy plastic beads found at the local craft store and nylon string (in a bright color of course!).
I pulled out this project one afternoon and it easily kept my kids busy so I could prep dinner. They loved choosing their own beads and I loved how it helped encourage hand-eye coordination. This craft is great for long winter days spent indoors and can encourage independence.
So set out the beads in shallow bowls, give each kid a small tray or cookie sheet, knot the end of the string, and step back. Let them ask for help when they need it and be prepared to be wowed by some creative geniuses.
